Scriptures for the day

Grace Life

John 1:16-17 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. 17 For while the Law was given through Moses, grace ([a] unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ. (AMPC)

[a] Footnotes: John 1:17 Richard Trench, Synonyms of the New Testament.

John 16:13 Yet when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of his own accord; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. (RKJNT)

Thought for the day

Life under grace is different from life under the Law that God gave Moses (the Mosaic Law). Those under the Law wore garments with fringes {tassels}. Used to remind them of all the commandments of the LORD. Also to help them try to obey the Law. [Numbers 15:37-41; many sources say there are 613 commandments] —Grace Laws are written in our heart—not a set of rules that we have to memorize.

In this Christian life under grace the Holy Spirit of God lives inside. It guides and helps us live a life that is pleasing to God. The grace of God like ocean waves never ends. Enjoy the grace that you have now. Look forward to the gracious favor and blessings yet to come! Blessings to you all Tim

Question for the day: Do you believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ you will be saved?
