Message in the picture

“God Hears, Knows & Provides – When you pray, don’t talk on and on as people do who don’t know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers. Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask. Matthew 6:7-8 Contemporary English Version (CEV)”

Scripture for the day

Matthew 6:7-8 (RKJNT) But when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their many words. 8 Therefore, do not be like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.

An excerpt from “God’s Providence

Jesus relied on provisions through others

The God of providence can give us anything we desire, but in His divine wisdom, He limits provisions to what is good for us. Jesus, the King of kings, set the perfect example and taught His disciples to do as He did.

Luke 8:1-3 (NHEB) “It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out; and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others; who provided for them from their possessions.”

Yes, Jesus relied on God working through others to provide His basic needs.

Are you a true Christian, then be like Christ in every way?
NOTE: the word Christian comes from the Greek word Χριστιανός Christianos (khris-tee-an-os’) n/g(figuratively, as understood by the nations) followers of the teachings of Christ
